Amatō is a calm, thoughtful ice cream studio tucked away on Dunckerstraße 80 in Prenzlauer Berg. Run by a Vietnamese, the shop brings handcrafted flavors and subtle design into perfect harmony.
It's not just another Eisladen – it’s a space where tradition, minimalism,
and creativity come together in every scoop.

Their flavors are bold yet balanced – like
Vietnamese coffee,
black sesame,
pandan,
ube (purple yam),
lychee-jasmine tea,
Thai tea
and matcha
.
Every flavor is made from scratch in-house using high-quality ingredients without any artificial flavors, preservatives, or shortcuts. The focus is on texture, purity, and real taste.

Personal opinion:
Thai tea and cà phê sữa đá are also available and really good, but honestly? - for us hey shine more as drinks.

The store’s look matches its flavors: calm, clean, and modern. Natural tones, soft textures, and subtle Asian influences make the space feel more like a serene design studio than a typical ice cream shop. Ice cream is served in beautiful ceramic bowls or handmade rice cones, with an emphasis on slow enjoyment and visual pleasure.

Amatō isn’t just selling ice cream – it’s creating a space for stories, culture, and craftsmanship. From their poetic Instagram captions to their seasonal menus, everything is done with intention.
